REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Operations

SUPERVISES:  Assistant Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE:  To assist in the day-to-day management of project-specific items from the planning through the completion of construction phases. Strong operational and support for the Vice President of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires scheduling, deliveries, verification of completion, meeting with contractors and municipal officials for inspections. The position will require an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, the ability to maintain composure under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and have a professional and supportive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Manage and direct all aspects of construction which includes off-sites and on-sites.
  2. Responsible for schedules and ensures the workmanship of all work by inspecting and approving work being performed.
  3. Maintain BuilderTrend scheduling, reporting, and status of timely home completions and deliveries-based closing dates
  4. Maintain records of all change orders and/or purchase orders
  5. Ensure that the work follows city or county requirements and building codes
  6. Responsible for inspections and corresponding paperwork
  7. Approve all invoices with regard to work completion and quality
  8. Act as a liaison between on-site management and vendors/contractors and communicate effectively with management when problems or change occurs.
  9. Coordinate with various managers/departments, designers and purchasing regarding plans and specifications
  10. Responsible for maintaining communication channels with Designers so that the maintain the schedule, follow up with all parties on questions and/or concerns can be addressed.
  11. Responsible for the community and Express homes
  12. Responsible for notifying companies to enforce their safety and correcting issues as necessary
  13. Ability to track job progress, and associated reporting.
  14. Ability to eventually provide guidance and direction from the Vice President of Operations to the contractors by providing frequent communication.

  1. Six (6) years minimum experience in residential home construction
  2. High school diploma or GED required
  3. High degree of construction knowledge and management skills
  4. Resourcefulness, patience, and clarity
  5. Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  6. Familiarity with reading and understanding residential blue prints
  7. Detail oriented
  8. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  9. Valid driver’s license
  10. Accepts constructive feedback

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. This is an office and field position requiring driving. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating design solutions, as well as the management of relationships with homeowners, from initial contact through the construction of their project.
  • Conceptualize a design solution for clients, understand their needs, how to construct the projects and motivate them to sign a contract with Icon Building Group.
  • Work with multiple clients at once and have a strong experience and ability to influence people and decisions.
  • Price and prepare change orders, where necessary, and communicate these changes effectively with customers, Director of Renovations and vendors.
  • Build and maintain a high level of product knowledge related to furniture, home furnishings, and related accessories, including a strong understanding of construction features.
  • Responsible for maintaining communication channels with Customer, Project Manager, Director of Renovations and Vice President of Operations and to follow up with all parties on questions and concerns about variables within the process.
  • Develop a technical construction ability to plan efficient construction, price special construction options for sales and to diagnose and resolve field problems as well as select the various finishes.
  • Develop, implement and maintain proactive and consistent marketing activities to generate leads.

The position provides guidance as you gain skills over time and will eventually provide enough experience so that you can develop into a successful Sales Consultant. However, the position will require an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, the ability to maintain composure under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and have a professional and supportive attitude.

Design Cabinetry - Sales Consultant

Design Cabinetry - Sales Consultant

REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Operations

SUPERVISES:  N/A

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

To continually managing relationships with our customers from client outreach through to the conceptual to final design and construction of their cabinetry project. Provide the necessary administrative support for all departments. In your role you will collaborate with clients to develop design ideas for their project, calculate budgets and price estimates, as well as select style and finishes. Preparing purchase orders and collecting deposits. This position will be responsible for consulting and following up with customers with design studio options and upgrade purchase process. Follow-up with customers, purchasing, and project managers regarding selections 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Creative with excellent customer service skills.
  • Responsible for creating a set of 20/20 plans for cabinetry and specify all finishing materials and presenting to Customer.
  • Create cabinetry budgets for upcoming projects and manage costs of existing projects to deliver the product the Customer desires while keeping within budgetary expectations.
  • Price and prepare Change Orders, where necessary, and communicate these changes effectively with Customers, and Vendors.
  • Responsible for ordering and timely delivery of cabinets and maintaining good relations with Vendors. Negotiate prices on behalf of Icon to obtain quality products and appropriate delivery speed at a competitive price.
  • Builds and maintains a high level of product knowledge related to furniture, home furnishings, and related accessories, including a strong understanding of construction features.
  • Leadership position that requires confidence, experience and a strong ability to influence people and decisions.
  • Ability to explain the features and benefits of the cabinetry products and options requested.

Design - Renovation

Design - Renovation

REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Operations

SUPERVISES:  N/A

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This position is focused primarily on renovations which include but are not limited to, home additions, and interior and exterior remodeling. Being part of the design team, you will be assisted by a project manager, to provide our customers with a creative design solution, as well as maintaining the relationships with our customers, from initial contact through the construction of their project. This will include but not limited to through the conceptual to final design and construction of their project. Provide the necessary administrative support for all departments. In your role you will collaborate with clients to develop design ideas for their project, calculate budgets and price estimates, as well as select finishes. Preparing sales contracts, purchase orders and collecting deposits. This position will be responsible for consulting and following up with customers with design studio options and upgrade purchase process. Follow-up with customers, purchasing, and project managers regarding selections. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Creative with excellent customer service skills.
  • Leadership position that requires confidence, experience and a strong ability to influence people and decisions.
  • Ability to explain the features and benefits of the products and options requested.
  • Understanding of critical path items to be completed per the appropriate phase.

EDUCATIONAL AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Three (3) years, minimum, residential construction experience in Design
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • High degree of construction knowledge
  • Resourcefulness, patience and clarity
  • Strong management and motivational skills
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiar with, and ability to read blueprints, and other home diagrams
  • Chief Architect, 20/20 or like software skills, are a plus
  • Excellent writing skills verbal and written
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong sense of color and design applications
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
